BOOK DRIVE 2025

BOOKS TO BE DONATED TO LOCAL CHILDREN

WESTS ILLAWARRA IS PROUD TO ONCE AGAIN BE SUPPORTING THE PAUL SCULLY MP BOOK DRIVE IN 2025

Wests Illawarra is proud to support MP Paul Scully’s Book Drive in 2025. The Wests Illawarra team was excited to be involved and to partner with Paul Scully, MP once again for this meaningful campaign – helping local kids discover the joy of reading new stories.

Renata Garnero, Wests Illawarra CFO, worked with local representatives from Lifeline to purchase children’s books from the Lifeline Big Book Fair (held 23-26 October), with those funds going back to the community for vital crisis support and suicide prevention services.

We thank our members and visitors for their generous donations –  all in all, over 300 books were collected this year. Your contributions are helping make the holiday season brighter for families while inspiring a lifelong love of reading that supports learning and development.

As Paul Scully notes “There’s nothing like seeing the excitement on children’s faces when they receive a book. Reading is one of the most important skills a child can learn – it opens doors to a world of imagination, learning, and opportunity.”
