Christmas Decorating Comp 2022

For those who visited Wests Illawarra during the festive season, it’s safe to say that you could tell we LOVE Christmas! The decorations this year were magical, traditional, and captivating. In light of this, we challenged our staff to a Christmas decorating competition and boy was it a success. Each team had their own area to decorate, including, the Wests Illawarra staff room, Port Kembla Golf Club staffroom and the Wests Illawarra administration offices.

We were joined by our Chairman Trevor Castle, our local member for Wollongong Paul Scully and our local member for Cunningham Alison Byrnes to judge each staff area, and let’s just say they were beyond impressed.

But what’s a competition without a prize? As well as 12 months of bragging rights for our team members, we gave each place a set amount to donate to one of our local charities. In total we donated $2,500 on behalf of our team to KidsWish, Vinnies, SAHSSI and the Pyjama Foundation.

We’d like to thank our judges for taking time out of the busy season to judge our festive creations. With the success of our first Christmas Decorating competition, this will sure be an annual tradition for years to come.
